If you wish to rent an RV in Orlando then this is for you. RV rentals in Orland can be tricky. You have a lot going on in Orlando. You have professional sports teams, conventions and a very special place called Disney World.
Orlando is also centrally located in Florida and has a busy airport so a lot is happening. But the main attraction is Disney and all the theme parks that go with it and the competing theme parks like Universal Studios.
If you plan on visiting Orlando then you should not wait till the the last minute to book a place to stay. If you are in a peak season then the hotel rooms are all at a premium. When I say premium I mean they are really expensive. Orlando has a lot of peak seasons. The main one being Spring break but you have a number of conventions that happen there throughout the year. And remember you also have a professional basketball team the Orlando Magic that could be on a winning streak.
So basically Orlando has a lot of peak seasons.
You have a few different options for a place to stay.
- Find an Airbnb
- Rent an RV
- Stay at a hotel
- Rent a condo
Find an Airbnb
Airbnb is awesome and you can find some really good deals. But remember you are staying at someones place that they are renting out to you via the Airbnb app. If it is just two of you then you will probably not have a problem finding a place. If you are a large family then the pickings get pretty slim. This is a great option but know what you are getting into before you sign up
Rent an RV
This is a great alternative that most people really don’t think about doing. A great site to rent from is RVShare.com. It is very similar to Airbnb but it is for RVs. Check out my review of RVShare. But just remember you also have to have a place to park it and stay at. If you find a good deal on one and you have a place to park it with hookups then this is an awesome you to travel.
Stay At A Hotel
This is the easiest and most convenient way to stay in Orlando. Orlando is definitely not short of hotels but they can get really expensive specially if it is a peak season or if there is a lot going on at one time such as conventions and professional sports games. Be careful to book a room ahead of time to lock in a price and always make sure the hotel offers contential breakfast.
Rent A Condo
I am a huge fan of this especially if you are a family or large group. Condos give you the ability to cook your own meals and have a little more freedom and flexibility that hotels do not really offer. But the greatest thing is that they have multiple rooms. There are websites that will allow you to rent from the owner. With these websites make sure you book ahead of time because sometimes and can take a little while for the owner to get back to you and they can also fill up fast. But for a large family this option is amazing. You have rental sites such as VRBO.com that work really well. I have had positive experiences with VRBO so I would recommend them if you want to go this route of renting a condo.
As you can see you have many different options for renting in Orlando but I believe that renting an RV is still kind of flying under the radar so you probably could snag a good deal. No matter which route you choose plan ahead and don’t wait to book at the last minute if you can help it.
