AirBnB RV Rentals Review

Camping in a Airbnb RVIf you are like me then you like to camp but you also enjoy a little comfort while camping. I’ll do the whole tent thing when necessary but I prefer comfort. I also do not want to own my own RV which as you may or may not know can be a pain in the butt because of:

  • cost
  • Maintenance
  • Cost of up keep
  • Having to store it somewhere.

I also am a huge fan of Airbnb. I love it because it gives you some variety of where you can stay and you can find some really good deals. I also like how you are helping out someone that wants to make a little extra money instead of forking over a bunch of money to the big fat corporate hotels.

I was wanting to go camping with my family for a holiday and I knew it was going to be really hot so we did not want to camp in our tent. All five of us in a tent with it being super hot out did not sound like fun at all.

So I thought lets see about doing an Airbnb rv rental. I quickly found out that airbnb has no such thing but I did find a company that is the Airbnb of the RV world and it is RVShare.com

It is the same concept of Airbnb which is you rent from an owner that owns the RV and you get to enjoy it for a reasonable fee. Also everything is facilitated through a website so you have very little contact with the middle people which in this case is RV Share. You also have to pay a little extra so you are completely covered by their insurance which in my opinion is totally worth it because it gives you a little extra piece of mind because it does not matter how careful you are accidents still occasionally happen.

Everything is laid out in front of you and all you have to do is find the RV you want for the specific date and book online. Check out my full review of RVShare here.

Airbnb is missing out on this great opportunity. I found some website that looked like they tried it once or maybe it was a fake website. Who knows but I am extremely happy with what I found with RVShare.

I know there are other services out there but this is the one I used and I had an amazing experience with it and I will continue to use it in the future.

If I did ever own on RV which surprisingly I do want to someday because I want to tour the country someday. I would use RVShare to rent out my RV or Camper Trailer when I am not using it and have the time to deal with it. Because why not make a little extra money on the side. It can help cover the payments, the up keep or help you to save to buy a bigger and better one. To me it’s a no brainer.
